Does the audio leave my computer?

No. Voice detection and recognition run on your PC. Finalized recognized text is sent securely for managed interpretation, but raw audio is never uploaded.

Does Intrpret work without internet?

Interpreted captions require an internet connection. Local speech recognition may continue during an outage, but Intrpret does not fall back to a less accurate local interpretation model.

What can it interpret?

Anything playing through your Windows audio—video calls in Teams, Zoom, or Meet, plus videos, live streams, and webinars. It listens to system audio without joining as a bot.

Which languages are supported?

The first commercial version focuses on English and Mandarin audio, with subtitles in English or Traditional Chinese.

Is this certified interpretation?

No. Intrpret is a comprehension aid. Machine subtitles can be wrong and are not suitable for legal, medical, or safety-critical interpretation.
